National Competency Examination in General Surgery Held at Udayana University Faculty of Medicine

Denpasar – The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, served as one of the venues for the National Competency Examination for participants of the General Surgery Specialist Medical Education Program on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The examination was organized by the Indonesian College of Surgery (Kolegium Ilmu Bedah Indonesia – KIBI) and took place at the Cakra Vidya Usadha Building, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The National Competency Examination is an important stage in specialist surgical education, aimed at assessing participants’ knowledge, competencies, and readiness to practice as qualified surgeons.

A total of 16 participants took part in the National Competency Examination:

The examination was conducted within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, with facilities and infrastructure prepared to ensure the smooth implementation of the entire examination process.

The National Competency Examination in General Surgery will continue on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). During this stage, participants will undergo an assessment of their clinical competencies through a series of predetermined clinical scenarios and examination stations.

Through the implementation of the National Competency Examination, all participants are expected to demonstrate their best abilities and meet the competency standards established by the Indonesian College of Surgery as part of the process toward becoming professional and competent surgeons.
