A lively atmosphere filled with togetherness was evident during the BEDEL 2026 Padel Tournament, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at City Padel, Denpasar. BEDEL stands for Bedah Padel, or Surgery Padel.
The event was organized to commemorate the anniversary of the Specialist Study Program in Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The tournament was also part of a series of activities celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Surgery Study Program. It provided an opportunity for the entire Udayana Surgery family to gather, exercise, and enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere amid their demanding academic and clinical responsibilities.
The event was officially opened by Dr. dr. Made Agus Dwianthara Sueta, Sp.B, Subsp.BD(K). He welcomed the organization of the tournament, emphasizing that it served not only as a competitive event but also as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of family within the Udayana Surgery community.
From the beginning of the matches, all participants showed great enthusiasm. Each pair displayed their best performance while continuing to uphold sportsmanship and maintain an enjoyable atmosphere. The support and encouragement from fellow participants and spectators further added to the excitement of the tournament.
After a series of matches, the pair of dr. Agung Budhi Kusuma, Sp.B and dr. Marcellino Christian Santoso emerged as the first-place winners.
Second place was secured by Putu Ananda Sutiksna Mulya and dr. Nyoman Alan Darmasaputra Mulya. Meanwhile, dr. Yudha Ganesa, Sp.OG and dr. Hendra earned third place.
The BEDEL 2026 Tournament was not merely about victories and competition on the court. More importantly, it provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen togetherness, improve communication, and promote a healthy lifestyle among the members of the Udayana Surgery family.
Through this event, it is hoped that BEDEL will continue to be held in the coming years and become one of the most anticipated activities in the anniversary celebration of the Specialist Study Program in Surgery at Udayana University.
