Ceremonial Send-Off for the 84th Batch of Newly Graduated General Surgeons, Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
The Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University once again held the Farewell Ceremony for the 84th Batch of Newly Graduated General Surgeons on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, at the Surgery Meeting Room of the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This event was conducted as a form of appreciation and recognition for the successful completion of specialist training in the field of Surgery by the graduating residents.
The ceremony was held solemnly and warmly, beginning with the opening session followed by the singing of the Indonesian National Anthem “Indonesia Raya,” as well as the March and Hymn of the Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The event continued with a prayer session as an expression of gratitude for the achievements attained by the graduates.
The event was attended by the leaders and academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as well as Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah General Hospital, who delivered remarks and messages to the graduates. Speeches were delivered by the Coordinator of the Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Made Agus Dwianthara Sueta, Sp.B., Subsp.BD(K); the Head of the Department of Surgery, Prof. Dr. dr. Anda Tusta Adi Putra, Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K); the Director of Medical and Nursing Services, Dr. dr. I Made Darmajaya, Sp.BA., Subsp.D.A(K)., MARS, FIAPS; the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp. Onk. Ort. R(K); and Professor of Surgery, Prof. Dr. dr. I Wayan Sudarsa, Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K).
On this occasion, the Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University officially graduated six new general surgeons of the 84th Batch, namely:
- dr. Ida Bagus Wisnu Parbawa Kusuma, Sp.B
- dr. Anak Agung Kade Ari Sanjaya, Sp.B
- dr. Ida Bagus Putra Ambara, Sp.B
- dr. I Made Oka Wahyantara, Sp.B
- dr. I Dewa Gede Agung Purwakatamayasa, Sp.B
- dr. Krishna Murprayana, Sp.B
One of the most memorable and symbolic moments of the ceremony was the tradition in which all newly graduated surgeons paid homage to the Indonesian Red and White Flag as a reflection of their dedication and commitment to serving the nation and society through the medical profession. The ceremony then continued with the presentation of certificates to each graduate, followed by the sharing of messages and reflections from representatives of the newly graduated surgeons.
The entire family of the Surgical Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University extends its highest congratulations and appreciation to all graduates of the 84th Batch for their dedication, perseverance, and hard work throughout their educational journey. May all newly graduated surgeons be granted success, smooth career paths, and blessings in carrying out their professional duties, continue to provide the best healthcare services to the community, and bring pride to their alma mater at both national and international levels.
