General Surgery Residents Brevet Promotion Ceremony July 2026
This ceremony represents an important milestone in the General Surgery Residency Program, marking the promotion of residents from the Pre-Surgery stage to the Basic Surgery stage. As a symbol of this achievement, participants received a new brevet pin, with the red pin being replaced by a yellow pin, signifying their readiness to advance to the next phase of training with greater responsibility and clinical competence.
The ceremony was led by the Head of the Department of Surgery, Dr. dr. Made Agus Dwianthara Sueta, Sp.B, Subsp.BD(K), and was attended by residents who had successfully fulfilled all academic and competency requirements of the Pre-Surgery stage. In a meaningful and ceremonial atmosphere, each participant was presented with a yellow brevet pin in recognition of successfully completing the initial phase of specialist training.
In addition to the pin presentation, the event featured remarks and guidance from Dr. dr. Made Agus Dwianthara Sueta, Sp.B, Subsp.BD(K), who emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, discipline, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to learning throughout the Basic Surgery stage. Residents were encouraged to continuously enhance their clinical knowledge, surgical skills, communication abilities, and teamwork to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Through this Promotion Brevet Ceremony, the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, reaffirms its commitment to fostering residents' continuous professional development.
