Local Cognitive MCQ and Basic Medical Sciences Examination Surgical Specialty Training Program

On 7th of February 2026, an MCQ and Local Cognitive Examination was conducted at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University / Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. The examination was attended by 27 surgical residents, consisting of 13 residents in the basic surgery stage and 14 residents in the advanced surgery stage.

The examination was organized to assess theoretical understanding, cognitive abilities, and academic readiness of surgical residents as they progress to the next stage of their training. The examination materials covered fundamental aspects of surgical science as well as clinical applications, tailored to the educational level of each resident.

The examination was carried out in an orderly and smooth manner and is expected to provide an objective overview of residents’ competency achievements, as well as serve as an evaluation tool to improve the quality of educational and training processes within the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
