Local Professional Examination of the Surgical Residency Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, May 2026

The Surgical Residency Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University once again conducted the Local Professional Examination on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This examination serves as an essential component in evaluating the competencies of surgical residents before they proceed to the next stage of their training.

The examination was conducted in a structured station-based system consisting of various surgical subspecialties. The examination stations included Digestive Surgery A, Oncology A, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Digestive Surgery B, and Oncology B. All candidates participated in station rotations according to the schedule and examination flow determined by the organizing committee.

A total of ten candidates participated in this local professional examination, namely:

The examination commenced at 08.30 WITA, with each station operating according to a systematically arranged schedule. The candidates underwent assessments of their clinical skills, case analysis abilities, decision-making competencies, and professional communication skills in accordance with the standards of surgical specialist education.

This activity also involved teaching staff and examiners from various divisions within the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The entire examination process was conducted in an orderly, disciplined, and conducive manner through effective coordination among the committee members, examiners, candidates, and examination escorts.

Through the implementation of this local professional examination, it is expected that the residents will demonstrate optimal academic and clinical competencies as future surgeons who are professional, competent, and uphold integrity.
