National Professional Examination of the General Surgery Residency Program, Faculty of Medicine Udayana University / Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, June 2026

The General Surgery Residency Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University successfully conducted the National Professional Examination of the General Surgery Residency Program on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Cakra Vidya Usadha Building, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The National Professional Examination is one of the most important milestones in surgical residency training, aimed at comprehensively assessing the competencies of residents before they complete their training and obtain specialist qualifications. This examination was attended by 21 candidates, who underwent a station-based (rotational) assessment covering various fields of surgical practice, including Digestive Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Surgery.

The examination was conducted from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM under the supervision and evaluation of experienced faculty members and consultants. The structured examination system was designed to assess participants’ clinical competence, medical knowledge, technical skills, and decision-making abilities in a variety of surgical case scenarios.

This National Professional Examination involved examiners from different surgical subspecialties, namely:
