In an effort to strengthen spiritual values and foster a sense of togetherness among residents, the Surgical Residency Program of Udayana University organized a Tirta Yatra and Melukat activity, held on:

Day/Date: Friday, April 3, 2026
Location: Pura Tirta Mengening, Tampaksiring, Gianyar

This activity is part of the character development program for residents, not only in academic and clinical aspects but also in enhancing spiritual values, inner balance, and harmony in daily life as medical professionals. The event began with a joint prayer at Pura Cadhu Sakti, RSUP Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, before departing to Pura Tirta Mengening. Upon arrival at the venue, the surgical residents participated in the main series of activities, namely the melukat purification ritual, followed by a collective prayer. After completing the religious rituals, the event continued with a communal lunch as a means of strengthening camaraderie and fostering closer relationships among residents and the organizing committee. The program concluded with the return trip to Denpasar.

Through this Tirta Yatra activity, it is hoped that all residents will enhance their spiritual well-being and inner peace, strengthen solidarity and a sense of family, and maintain a balance between professional responsibilities as doctors and their spiritual lives. It is also expected that the values gained from this Tirta Yatra can be implemented in daily life, both in the workplace and in providing care to patients.
