Tirta Yatra of the Udayana University Surgery Residents May 2026

The Surgery Residency Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, successfully conducted the Tirta Yatra on Sunday, 31 May 2026, at Pura Wi Mukti, Pecatu, Badung. The activity was attended by residents, faculty members, and administrative staff as part of an effort to strengthen spiritual values, foster togetherness, and promote harmony within the Surgery Residency Program.

The event commenced with the gathering of all participants at the parking area of Pura Cadhu Sakti, located within Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. Prior to departing for the main venue, participants took part in a collective prayer session at Pura Cadhu Sakti as an expression of gratitude and a prayer for safety throughout the journey and the Tirta Yatra activities.

Participants then proceeded to Pura Wi Mukti, Pecatu, to take part in the purification ritual (melukat) and communal prayers. The activities were conducted in a sacred and contemplative atmosphere. The melukat ritual served as a means of both physical and spiritual purification, while also providing an opportunity for personal reflection and spiritual renewal for all participants.

Following the completion of the prayer activities, the program continued with lunch held in a warm and collegial atmosphere. This occasion provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships among residents, faculty members, and administrative staff beyond their daily academic responsibilities and healthcare services.

The Tirta Yatra of the Udayana University Surgery Residency Program 2026 was carried out smoothly and meaningfully, reflecting the Program’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of its trainees, not only in academic and professional aspects but also in spiritual growth and character building. Through this activity, participants were expected to gain inner peace, renewed motivation, and a stronger sense of unity in carrying out their educational, clinical, and community service responsibilities.
