Udayana General Surgery Residency Program Enlivens RS Ngoerah’s Independence Day Celebration
In commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Udayana organized a series of activities and competitions involving various Specialist Medical Education Programs (PPDS).
The General Surgery Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Udayana, actively participated in the entire series of events. Various competitions were held to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day while also strengthening togetherness among residency programs.
The activities included several traditional Independence Day games, such as the cracker-eating competition, banana-eating competition, and other traditional games. In addition, participants also took part in a marching drill competition (PBB) and a fun walk, both of which were enthusiastically attended by residents from various programs.
Representatives from the General Surgery Residency Program participated in every category. The event was filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and sportsmanship throughout the competitions. It also provided an opportunity for residents from different specialist programs to interact in a more relaxed atmosphere amid their busy academic and clinical responsibilities.
The participation of the General Surgery Residency Program in this series of activities reflected its enthusiasm in celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day while maintaining solidarity and a strong sense of fellowship within the PPDS community of Universitas Udayana.
Through these activities, the Independence Day celebration served not only as a series of competitions, but also as a meaningful occasion to foster unity, togetherness, and a spirit of nationalism among all participants.
